Curly dock
Curly dock, also often called Curled dock, is a perennial plant that grows upright to heights of 4 or 5 feet or more.  It is a serious weed across the entire area of Indiana and our surrounding states.
Curly dock gets its name from its curled leaf margins.  Curly dock can also grow in a low rosette from and thus be a problem in home lawns.  Because of its ability to revert to the rosette growth pattern, it is not easily controlled by mowing.  Curly dock can be found in cultivated crops and pastures.
The plant reproduces by seed and the seed heads will be found at the ends of stems on the top part of the plants.  The rust colored seeds are three-sided and very shiny.
