     Field bindweed
Field bindweed is a perennial weed that is also referred to as creeping jenny or small morning-glory.  This weed is often a problem in small grains and row crops in Indiana.
The plant has a low vining type of growth and the stems may be 2 to 3 feet or more in length.  The sides of the leaves are nearly parallel, which is the best way to differentiate it from the other bindweeds' and the morning-glory species.
The flower of Field bindweed will be pink or white and trumpet shaped.
Field bindweed spreads primarily via seed and this seed will be dark brownish-gray and have a rough seed coat.  It is rounded on one side and has two flattened sides.
